Eugen Hriscu is a Certified Transactional Analyst (CTA) – certified by the European Association for Transactional Analysis (EATA) – and a psychiatrist. Since 2005 he is a trainer in the field of substance addiction, accredited by the Ministry of Health. His activity has been centred on the practical aspects of providing care for persons with addiction problems; he has contributed to the establishment of several public and private centres for the treatment of alcohol and opioids addiction, as well as to other innovative projects for prevention and treatment of problematic use of substances. In parallel, he has maintained a private practice in individual and group psychotherapy, approaching various issues in the areas of affective disorders, personality, adjustment disorders and, of course, substance addiction. He is currently working as a psychotherapist in Bucharest, within the ALIAT Clinic and the non-governmental organisation with the same name.
